The cameras
The IP cameras (ONVIF / RTSP) stay where they are: IA-N reads their video streams over the site network.
Guide · existing cameras
Yes, it is possible: IA-N, by ElectroniSafe, adds AI video analytics to most IP cameras already installed (ONVIF® / RTSP), without replacing them. The cameras, cabling and recorder stay in place; IA-N analyses their streams on site, in an IA-N box or on an Intel N-series mini PC (N97, N150, N305 or N355) with the software alone, recognises people, vehicles and animals and triggers the alerts you want. It is installed by security installers.

What does not change
IA-N is added to the existing installation: each component keeps its role.
The IP cameras (ONVIF / RTSP) stay where they are: IA-N reads their video streams over the site network.
IA-N connects to the camera network. On the IA-N box, the “camera” ports can also cut the cameras off from the Internet.
The recorder keeps recording as it does today. IA-N, for its part, keeps the clips of its detections on site: box, NAS or network share.
If the site has a VMS, it remains the operator's workstation; IA-N can send its alarms to it through ONVIF events and API (alarms tested with Nx Witness, other software to be validated case by case).
What IA-N adds
People, vehicles and animals, in the zones drawn on the image and at the chosen times.
Notification on the right people's phones, with the annotated image of the event.
With the box: alerts sent over the SIA DC-09 and Contact ID protocols, with a video verification link for the centre.
Licence plate recognition, Alert centre, remote cameras, VMS integration: depending on the site's needs.
The steps
Models, available RTSP or ONVIF streams, light sub-stream, network access: we check what each camera can provide.
The IA-N box, or the Intel N-series mini PC with the software alone, connects to the network where the cameras are.
ONVIF discovery of the cameras or entry of their address; zones drawn on the image, schedules, recipients and retention period.
Detections and notifications tested in real conditions, then the customer gets to grips with the system.

Capacity
Internal measurements on the 13-inch box (8 GB of memory): about 10 ms of AI processing per image; less than half a second from appearance to alert, on a continuously analysed camera; about 1 s for the phone notification; up to about thirty cameras per box. With the software alone, the number of cameras depends on the machine. These measurements are not a guarantee of results on every site: each project is sized and validated with our team.
Privacy
Analysis takes place on the customer's site. IA-N detects categories (person, vehicle, animal) and does not identify people by their face. Privacy masks, adjustable retention period, access management and an audit log of actions help the site operator, who is the data controller, to keep their installation under control. Images are only sent out for specific uses: remote viewing, alarm verification, support, and the notifications or services you enable; see our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Another question? Our sales team will answer.
Yes, if they are IP cameras that provide an RTSP or ONVIF stream: IA-N carries out the analysis in their place, on site. This is the case for most IP cameras; each project is checked model by model.
Those that do not provide an RTSP or ONVIF stream accessible from the site network, and those whose image is too dark, blurred or poorly framed for the intended use.
No. The recorder keeps recording; IA-N reads the camera streams over the network and, for its part, keeps the clips of its detections.
With the 13-inch IA-N box, up to about thirty cameras based on our internal measurements (8 GB). With the software alone, it depends on the machine: IA-N measures its capacity after installation. Each project is sized and validated with our team.
No: analysis takes place on site, with no cloud subscription needed for detection. Images are only sent out for specific uses: remote viewing, alarm verification, support, and the notifications or services you enable.
A security installer or integrator. ElectroniSafe sells IA-N to professionals, directly or through distributors, and trains its partners remotely.
