Security notice – 31/10/2026 – Linux kernel vulnerability CVE-2026-98432
· ElectroniSafe
A critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel, published on 15 October and widely reported on 29 October, affects the handling of network connections in almost all Linux distributions. It does not concern the IA-N software itself, but the system it runs on.
What we have done
- On 30 October, our servers (portal, updates, failover, email) received a protection that blocks the traffic used to exploit the vulnerability.
- Update 1.0.92 brings the same protection to all connected IA-N boxes, with no restart and no interruption of the analysis.
What remains to be done
- The definitive kernel fix will be delivered by a later update once Ubuntu has published it. It will require a restart of the box, scheduled at a quiet time.
What you need to do
- IA-N box: nothing, if your box is connected to the Internet. Check that it shows version 1.0.92 or higher.
- IA-N Analyse plugin for Nx: the plugin runs on your own Nx server. If this server runs Linux, apply your system's security updates once they are published, then restart it.
